As a young man, Tim flew with some of the best aviators on the Colorado Plateau.  In 1976, Tim was able to afford flying lessons and he soon had his certificate and was out flying the canyons.  Tim loved to fly the deck-down through the canyons, around the sandstone towers and along the contorted meanders of the Green and Colorado Rivers.

When some pilots fly over a large arch, they look down and wonder if they can fly through it.  Tim looked down and decided he could.  Early in his aviation career Tim began flying through large arches.  As time went on, the arches  became smaller and smaller.

On many of his arch flying experiences he took along a camcorder or had members of his family or friends video tape the event from the plane or on the ground.  This professionally produced video is a compilation of the some of Tim's arch flying experiences which were video taped in the 1980's before the advent of current restrictions imposed by federal agencies.

Arch flying is extremely dangerous and is illegal in many areas.
